KOTLA....SHAME....

As the final and the fifth ODI match between India and Srilanka was abandoned due to dangerous playing conditions and this would be the most embarrassment for the DDCA.From the start itself occasional deliveries reared up and one such delivery hit Dilshan which brought hin in severe pain and needed for an urgent first aid in the field iteslf.
The bad condition of the pitch was first reported by the Srilankans when one from Tyagi bounced to very high which was even difficult for Dhoni to hold.Soon they reported this matter to the umpires and later the decision came that the match has been abandoned.The Srilankan innings was at 83/5 as they lost early wickets and failed to move on to a good target.
Winning the toss Indian skipper Dhoni chose to field and the decicion soon hit the bull's eye as Zaheer got the wicket of last match centurion Upul Tharanga in the first ball itself.Sudeep Tyagi and Harbhajan also added to the Srilankan's worry as they bowled with correct line and length.Also the Indian fielding supported the bowling department very well.

INDIA IN WORRY....

Indian cricket team will be in a little worried situation tomorrow when the team will be playing against the Srilankans in the fourth match at Eden Gardens-the world's largest cricket stadium until Melbourne cricket ground was renovated . The reason for the Indian worries are Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out following his injury in his little finger.This is apart from the fact thet Dhoni too will not there in the playing eleven as he was banned for 2 matches due to his slow over rate.
Eden Gardens has always been known to produce some fantastic cricket moments.Harbhajan's hat-trick,Sachin's controversiel run out as he ran into Shoaib Akthar are only a few out of these....Let's hope for more on tomorrow from this ground of our 'DADA'....

BREATH TAKING....

This was one of the finest cricket match in ODI I have ever witnessed.Chasing a very huge total of 415 the visitors gave a very tough time to the hosts as they ended up the match just 3 runs before their target.
The which was best suited to the batsmen as they scored 825 runs with each side scoring 400 and above.Both India and Srilanka played their best as the openers of both the teams gave a magnificent start with Sehwag scoring 146 of 102 balls as he and Sachin gave the team India a flying start.Later he was awarded the Man Of The Match.
In reply Srilankan openers too batted well and Dilshan who scored 160 of 124 balls and Sangakkara scoring a fast 90 runs from 43 balls.Till 40-th over Srilanka was cruising in to the target with 9 wickets in hand.But then the conditions changed as Harbhajan bowled a bright spell(58/2) and Zaheer and Nehra bowled well in the death.Not only they but the whole Indian team held their nerves....

YUVI CELEBRATES....

It was the local boy Yuvraj Singh who was the birthday boy who came to his home ground to celebrate his 28-th birthday not only with the bat but also with the ball.With his all round performance Yuvi brought India to safe home by leveling the series 1-1.
Srilanka batting first scored a massive score of 206/7 in just 20 overs.Once again captain Sangakkara steered the Srilankan score par 200 with his fast half century and put the Indian bowlers under pressure.The rest of the batsmen also supported well and added fuel to the fire.
Chasing such a huge score of 207 India openers got off to a good start even though they were ready to take a lot of risks.Sehwag played his role well with a dashing 64 runs of just 36 balls.Then came captain Dhoni played a crucial knock of 46 runs but it was the birthday boy who came with a big treat of fours and sixes with a 60 runs of 25 balls which included 3 fours and 5 sixes.
This is the highest successful run chase ever made in the history of T-20 cricket.The previous best was 208 by West Indies against South Africa.
Both the sides will next meet for the 5 ODI series starting from the 15th of this month

T-20 First match:India payed for their laziness...

In the first T-20 Srilanka have one the match by 29 runs.India who helped the Srilankan's to reach a big total was too big for the Indian's to reach the target in the restricted 20 overs.Indian fielders were competing against themselves as each of them dropped their catches and helped the Srilankan batsmen.Sangakkara who brilliantly scored 50 of 20 balls dashed all the Indian bowlers which was well supported by his team mates.
In response to the huge total of 215/5 in 20 overs India also started well with Gambhir scoring 50 in just 19 balls which was well supported by Sehwag.But any other batsmen couldn't do well and reached only 186/9 in 20 overs.
Kumar Sangakkara was awarded the Man Of The Match for his dashing 78 runs.

On the way to the world's no:1 team in the world of test cricket just one more day and 5 wickets are remaining.Now the current score of Srilankan second innings is274/6.Zaheer-Ojha 2-2 and Harbhajan-Sreesanth 1-1 disturbed the Srilankan innings periodically.With only 4 wickets remaining it has to be seen that how long Srilankan innings will last.
India have almost registered their victory in this match.The only obstacle now is the Srilankan captain Kumar Saangakkara who i playing fearlessly at 127* and he is trying his best to save the test match from the hands of India.And it will be interesting to see whether he ill be successful in his attempt...

DHONI-TOO BIG....

Have you seen the six by Dhoni in which he score his sixth test hundred today in Mumbai test;day 3? He hit that ball out of the ground and that was also an alert to Srilankan's that they are out of the game's control too.
Today the biggest upset was Sehwag was not able to complete his third triple century. He got out when he was on 293 by Muralitharan.But then Sachin,Laxman and Dhoni steered India to a huge total of 726/9.Muralitharan totally outplayed today claiming 4 wickets including that of Sehwag and Laxman.
It's an uphill task to Srilanka to save this test as two more days are there and India is in a commanding position with a lead of 323 even now.At stumps Srilankan openers survived the spin attack of Harbhajan and Ojha and they were at 11/0 in 3 overs.
It will be interesting to see how Srilankan batsmen play against the Indian spin attack tomorrow....

The fabulous Brabourne stadium today witnessed one of the finest batting ever in the world test matches.Virendar Sehwag blasted 284 runs from just 239 balls took India to a huge total of 443 for 1 on the second day of third test series in Mumbai.India now leads by a score of 50 over Srilanka who scored a decent score of 393 in their first innings.Today India also made a record of scoring the highest runs in a day.Previuos best was 417 in their second innings.Sehwag smashed 40 boundaries and seven huge sixes in his way to the triple century.The Lankan spinners had an embarrassing day with both Muralidaran and Herath conceding over 100 runs in a single day.
