DISAPPOINTING....

It was very disguising and disappointing for me as I saw the massive 200-run defeat by the Indian cricket Team in Srilanka.What the Indian team have done yesterday???The team first scored a total of 288 runs and the "world no:2" Indian team couldn't score even half of it???I should say that Indian team doesn't deserve that No:2 spot now.
Even though the Indian bowlers had done well,the Indian batsmen were well short of their basics even.Look at the Indian team batting line-up..Sehwag Kathik,Raina,Rohit Sharma,Yuvraj,Dhoni....these are the batsmen who are top in the world itself....even then....they combined-ly couldn't score 100 runs.The more pathetic condotion is that only two of them was able to score double figures.

Now I'm sure that if this is their performance in future in this tournament' surely they can give their second spot to Newzland or Srilanka...

CAN KKR ENTER TO THE WINNING STREAK????

Spectacular half centuries from Ganguly and Tiwary helps Kolkata Knight Riders escape from the losing streak by winning their third match on Saturday by 39 runs.Winning the toss KKR captain Ganguly chose to bat first and scored 183/5 in 20 overs,thanks to Tiwary who scored 21 runs in the last over bowled by Irfan Pathan who till then conceeded only 21 runs in three overs.

Brett Lee's first over in this IPL was warmly welcomed by Gayle by scoring 15 runs in the first over itself.But he was sent back to the pavilion by Srivastavain the third over.Then came the U-19 Indian player Mandeep Singh but was not able to do much.Then Tiwary and Ganguly build the KKR total and in 11.2 overs they reached 100 runs for 2 wickets.Tiwary and Ganguly played some intelligent cricket to keep the momentum going.Soon Ganguly was sent back after he completed his fifty;his first in this IPL and also the one after 16 innings.

In return to the target of 184 runs Kings XI lost their first wicket with no runs on the score board.Then Yuvraj scored some marvellous shots but was down by misjudjing a good length delivery from Ajit Agarkar.Kumar Sangakkar and Jayawardane failed to keep the run rate but miserably failed.Pathan and Goel also tried their level best but the game was out of control then.And finally Kolkata Knight Riders registerd their third victory and in the table they are now at 5-th position.

INJURED INDIA....

Indian team is now struggling with the injury as most of the key batsmen like Rahul Dravid,Yuvraj Singh and Sreesanth who have already ruled out of the first test which will begin from tomorrow onwards against South Africa.Besides them Hydrebadi stylish batsmen V V S Laxman was also ruled out of the team who was not able to recover from his finger injury.As a cover to him the selection board had called Rohit Sharma to the team.
Rohit's captained Board President's XI who played against the Proteas ended in a draw.In that he was not shined as he scored only 20 runs.It will be interesting to note how Dhoni manages to control the South Africans with his limited strength....

NOW TIME TO PERFORM IN THE FIELD

After the end of 50 overs India scored a decent total of 279/9.Even though Gambhir and Kohli departed early in the innings later Yuvraj(74) and Dhoni (37) build the Indian total slowly in their 99 runs in the fourth wicket partnership.Also Sehwag played a smashing 47 runs as regular.Srilankan bowlers gave away many runs to India but they picked up the wickets regularly.Once again India were in trouble when Dhoni and Yuvraj was gone.But Raina(35) and Jadeja(39) brought India to a fighting total.Chanaka Welegedara bagged his 5-wicket haul in his ODI career as he figured 5 for 66 in 10 overs. t hushara Perera also picked a couple of wickets and well supported Welegedara .
Now it is the time to team India to perform well in the field....

Indian cricket team will be in a little worried situation tomorrow when the team will be playing against the Srilankans in the fourth match at Eden Gardens-the world's largest cricket stadium until Melbourne cricket ground was renovated . The reason for the Indian worries are Yuvraj Singh has been ruled out following his injury in his little finger.This is apart from the fact thet Dhoni too will not there in the playing eleven as he was banned for 2 matches due to his slow over rate.
Eden Gardens has always been known to produce some fantastic cricket moments.Harbhajan's hat-trick,Sachin's controversiel run out as he ran into Shoaib Akthar are only a few out of these....Let's hope for more on tomorrow from this ground of our 'DADA'....

YUVI CELEBRATES....

It was the local boy Yuvraj Singh who was the birthday boy who came to his home ground to celebrate his 28-th birthday not only with the bat but also with the ball.With his all round performance Yuvi brought India to safe home by leveling the series 1-1.
Srilanka batting first scored a massive score of 206/7 in just 20 overs.Once again captain Sangakkara steered the Srilankan score par 200 with his fast half century and put the Indian bowlers under pressure.The rest of the batsmen also supported well and added fuel to the fire.
Chasing such a huge score of 207 India openers got off to a good start even though they were ready to take a lot of risks.Sehwag played his role well with a dashing 64 runs of just 36 balls.Then came captain Dhoni played a crucial knock of 46 runs but it was the birthday boy who came with a big treat of fours and sixes with a 60 runs of 25 balls which included 3 fours and 5 sixes.
This is the highest successful run chase ever made in the history of T-20 cricket.The previous best was 208 by West Indies against South Africa.
Both the sides will next meet for the 5 ODI series starting from the 15th of this month

It was a huge blow when I heard of Yuvraj's injury.What happened to this Indian Team?The bad luck is always following the Indian team since the T-20 world cup second edition and now in the form of injuries to the main players.
Now just look at the Indian batsmen.Sachin,Gambhir,Dravid,Dhoni.Besides them Raina,Yusuf,Abhishek and Kohli who are trying to make a sure seat in the Indian cricket team.Without considering the first four batsmen can you say that the Indian Team is really strong now?If all the four batsmen got out very early in the innings then can you say that the team can reach a decent score....?All the new substitute batsmen in the team now, if w check their recent performance can say that they are not at all consistent.
On the other side, bowling department is another cause that make headache.Without Zaheer Indian bowling is very weak nowadays.Ishant is not in form and other bowlers are also giving away runs very frequently.
In this context can you say that India can win the tomorrow's game against the T-20 Champions pakistan....?Also the team's performance in the warm-up match is also not allowing to think me like that.......

DRAVID IN, ROHIT OUT....

Yesterday the Indian team for ICC Champions Trophy and for the Tri-nation series in Srilanka was declared. As everyone expected Rohit Sharma who was trying hard to come back in his rythm was excluded and "Mr.Cool" Dravid was included in the Indian squad.After 2 years Dravid was included in the Indian team where he last played was in Nagpur in October 27 against Australia.With Dravid in the middle order hopes are strong for a good Indian total.Dravid with risky wristy shots and and his leaning shot in his toes would definitely help the Indian middle.On the other hand Rohit was troubling to cope with the short pitches were he was tested by the west Indian pace attack last month.
Beside Dravid;Meastro Sachin Tendulkar was also back in the squad which would also help the Indian team to a great extent.Ansewring to the press chief selector Krishnamachari Srikanth reveals that this team has the fine chance for winning both tournaments who pick the same team for the ICC Champions Trophy and Triseries.

We can see the touch of God,his majesty everywhere.In football if it was with Diego Maradona,in cricket he would be there in the offside of Sourav Ganguly.Yes Dada,you are gifted,a natural striker of the cricket ball through the pin hole gap in the offside.
Someone said"Leader is the one who leads from the front...." and Ganguly purely showed it.It was his risk to make a batsman like Sehwag to open the innings,it was his choice to retain Yuvraj,Harbhajan in his team.It was his mind that made Javagal Srinath to come back to the International cricket after his first retirement.Yes, you were always right.It was Ganguly who taught the Indian team to go for the victories than a dead draw in test matches.We say "why take chances?" but Ganguly thought in an another way "If you need victories then why don't you take risks????"
It was he who supported Greg Chappel to be the coach of Indian cricket team after John Wright left that position.Even though it was Greg who criticized the most about Ganguly's performance and always wanted him to be out of the Indian cricket team and atlast he suceeded in his "mission".Here comes the memory of words that Dr.Abdul Kalam one's said "Waves are my inspiration not because they rise and fall but after each fall they rise again...."Ganguly was also like these waves,after his fall from the team he came back like a hurricane.The batting figures shows that in 8 test matches he scored runs with an average of 58.98 including 5 centuries.
